alphabroder Acquires Golden State Activewear

alphabroder, Trevose, Pa., announced yesterday that it has acquired Golden State Activewear.

The Golden State team will largely remain in place. Scott and Laurie Prestine will take on key roles within alphabroder. Stu Smith, Amy Carroll, Lee-Ann Stanley and Chris Beard will also be joining the alphabroder family.

The two businesses will immediately complement each other. “Golden State has built an amazing business,” said alphabroder CEO Norm Hullinger. “We couldn’t be more proud to be partnering with [president] Scott [Prestine] and [co-founder] Laurie [Prestine.]”

“As friendly competitors for nearly 30 years, we have gotten to know alphabroder very well, and couldn’t be happier to join the team,” Scott Prestine said. “Our shared commitment to our customers, employees and suppliers makes us perfect partners.”

“We’ve always believed that our company is as much about our customers and employees as it is about our products,” Laurie Prestine said. “alphabroder embraces the same positive and unique company culture as we do. We are feeling inspired and excited about the future.”

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
